International Visitors Program at Gaudeamus and Panel at the Netherlands Theatre Festival
Voor Nederlands, klik hier

This autumn we are once again hosting a series of international visitors’ programmes. These programmes introduce international programmers and curators to Dutch performing arts. We connect them with talented makers, ensembles and new music, and create networking opportunities that foster long-term international collaboration. There will be a visitors’programme at Gaudeamus Festival, during Septemberme and November Music. More information about the latter will follow later.
Gaudeamus Festival
From 12 to 14 September, during the 80th anniversary of the Gaudeamus Festival in Utrecht, we welcome a group of international programmers and curators, with a focus on first time visitors and guests from Eastern Europe. They will meet emerging and established Dutch composers and makers through concerts, panels, speed dates and networking sessions. The programme is carefully curated to provide a broad and up-to-date picture of Dutch new music. Guests will also have the opportunity to listen to the State of Dutch New Music, a speech by composer, musician and curator Bart de Vrees.
Why visitors’ programmes?
Through these programmes, we strengthen the international visibility of Dutch performing arts and build sustainable connections. By bringing international professionals directly into contact with Dutch makers and organisations, we lay the foundations for future collaboration, exchange and impact on an international level
The Netherlands Theatre Festival
From 4 to 14 September 2025, the Netherlands Theatre Festival (NTF) takes place in Amsterdam. On 4 September, the festival hosts a panel titled Opportunity & Continuity: international practice for Dutch performing arts. This session is part of the NTF Pro programme, a meeting place for theatre professionals.

Artists with extensive international touring experience will share their perspectives on the opportunities and challenges of working abroad. Representatives of supporting organisations will provide practical guidance. We contribute to this session both financially and content-wise.
